About

I'm Nic Gould, a Solution Architect working at the intersection of industrial operations and AI.

My day job involves designing and implementing AI systems for large-scale industrial environments — the kind of settings where decisions have physical consequences and "move fast and break things" isn't an option. I think a lot about how AI agents should actually work in the real world, how knowledge gets captured and lost in enterprise systems, and what it means to build AI that's genuinely useful rather than just impressive.

I write here about the things I'm working through: agent architecture, knowledge engineering, the gap between AI hype and industrial reality, and the future of how humans and AI systems work together.

Previously based in the UK, now in Newcastle, NSW, Australia.
